Flood reveals historical site

Two years ago, Calgary and area experienced massive flooding around the Bow and Elbow Rivers.  Along one of the banks that was eroded a new archaeological site surfaced, revealing a teepee circle that had been covered by silt in a flood between 500 and 1,000 years ago.  Since the flooding, an archaeological survey was completed and more than 100 additional similar sites have been located.  Read more here...
